The first time Your blue heart screened was on a large, state-of-the-art, movie screen at the Regal Essex Crossing in the Lower East Side, New York City!
It was also at this screening that the film was offered its first 3-year distribution deal. Thank you, Katra Film Series!
Your blue heart's Los Angeles premiere was at Micheaux Film Festival, the premiere multicultural film festival, founded by Emmy-nominated filmmakers, celebrating diverse voices, particularly in the Black film community. It was an incredible honor for Your blue heart to be selected.
Premiered internationally at Binisaya World Film Festival in Cebu City, Philippines, a self-proclaimed "rock en roll" festival, stylistically bold with a focus on a new generation of filmmakers, Binisaya features work that looks to the future, defying previously unbreakable genre confines, while still honoring tradition.
Held our San Diego premiere with SDFC's San Diego Filipino Film Festival (SDFFF), home of the largest curation and exhibition of Filipino films in the United States. It was through this festival that we were presented the opportunity to broadcast through ABS-CBN and TFC Network, over 3 million subscribers in over 40 countries worldwide! The Injectionist team is proud to call SDFC our fiscal sponsor.
A local NYC festival, NYC Indie Theatre Film Festival, chose Your blue heart as an official selection in 2024. Through the festival, Your blue heart was chosen to take part in CUNY TV Presents: NYC Indie Theatre Film Festival, a panel discussion about theatre practitioners who ventured into making their own films. The panel discussion, along with the films, will air in the summer of 2025. After its airing, it will also be available to stream on CUNY TV's Youtube Channel and App during the week of its broadcast. This makes Your blue heart Emmy-eligible!
After 3 nominations, Your blue heart earned its first award for Best Short Film at the Kaminari Japanese Film Festival in Tokyo, Japan. We are very proud of this win, as it did not involve politics or backroom deals!
Your blue heart wins its second award for Best Short Narrative at the Cebu International Film Festival.
In our final stateside festival, Your blue heart screened at the Redstone Theater inside the Museum of Moving Image with Queens World Film Festival. Redstone Theater is renowned for its cutting edge visual and sound technologies, and is known to be the only theater in New York City that legendary Director, Martin Scorsese, uses to screen his new films for trusted colleagues and friends before it gets released worldwide.
